Why do robots need machine vision systems?

1. Robotic applications without machine vision have limitations

3. Limitations of stand-alone machine vision systems in production

  • Unable to observe comprehensively: From the principle of imaging, a camera can only capture the image information of one plane. For complex objects, when multiple faces need to be detected, many cameras are often required to work together. If the product has many specifications, cameras with different specifications need to be adjusted to different positions to detect. It makes the whole detection system abnormally complicated.
  • Contradiction between accuracy and field of view: Limited by the resolution of the camera's photosensitive chip, the larger the field of view, the lower the resolution accuracy. In this case, high-precision detection cannot be achieved for large objects.
